I. Brightness and Contrast
Brightness: The outdoor environment has strong light, so the display needs to have high enough brightness to ensure that the content is clearly visible. Generally speaking, the brightness requirement is between 2500 - 7000 cd/㎡. For example, in a square under direct sunlight, the brightness should be above 5000 cd/㎡; if it is next to a street with some shade, 2500 - 3000 cd/㎡ may be enough. If the brightness is too low, the content of the screen display will be flooded by sunlight, resulting in the viewer not being able to see.
Contrast: The higher the contrast, the sharper the colors and details of the image. Outdoor LED display screen contrast ratio is best to reach 3000:1 or more, so that the black part of the strong light will not be gray, the color transition will be more natural, so that the advertising screen more attractive.
2. the resolution
Resolution determines the clarity of the image. Common outdoor LED display resolution P4, P5, P6, P8, P10, etc., where the number after P represents the pixel pitch in millimeters. The smaller the number, the smaller the pixel pitch and the higher the resolution.
For example, P4 (4mm pixel pitch) displays have higher resolution and are suitable for close viewing such as shopping mall entrances, while P10 (10mm pixel pitch) displays are suitable for large outdoor venues that are viewed from a distance, such as advertisement spaces next to highways. If a low-resolution display is selected for close viewing, the image will appear obvious graininess, affecting the advertising effect.
3. the level of protection
Waterproof and dustproof: Due to the complexity of the outdoor environment, the display must have good waterproof and dustproof capabilities. The protection level is generally expressed by IP (Ingress Protection), such as IP65, IP67, etc. IP65 means that dust is completely prevented from entering and no harm is done by rinsing with water; IP67 means that water will not enter even if it is immersed in water for a certain period of time and under a certain pressure. For outdoor LED displays, at least IP65 rating is required to cope with rain, dust and other environmental factors.
Wind and earthquake resistant: Outdoor displays may be affected by natural disasters such as high winds and earthquakes. To choose a solid structural design and good seismic performance of the display, able to withstand a certain intensity of wind (such as resistance to 12 winds), and in the case of minor earthquakes and other situations can still work normally.

Viewing angle refers to the angle range where the audience can clearly see the content of the screen. The viewing angle of outdoor LED advertisement display screen generally requires that the horizontal and vertical directions are more than 140°, so as to ensure that pedestrians or vehicles passing by from different directions and positions can see the screen content. For example, in the intersection of the display, if the viewing angle is small, then the passers-by located at certain angles may not be able to see the ads, reducing the coverage of the ads.
5. color reproduction
Good color reproduction enables the advertisement screen to truly display the product or brand image. The display should support more than 16.7M color display, and the color calibration should be accurate, and can accurately restore the colors in the advertising design. For example, for food advertisements, it should be able to vividly show the color of food and attract consumers' attention.
6. Size and Shape
Size: Determine the size of the display according to the installation location and the expected viewing distance. If the installation is high on the building facade, and the viewing distance is far, you can choose a larger size of the display; if it is on the street in front of a small store, the size can be relatively small. At the same time, to consider the space limitations of the installation site to ensure that the display can be reasonably installed.
Shape: In addition to the common rectangular display, there are curved, round and other shaped display.
